Roger Serra Cruz

AboutMe

I’m Roger Serra, 32 years old. After graduating with a degree in Audiovisual Communication, I discovered extended reality and the vast potential of the technologies behind video games. I quickly realized that by understanding these technologies, I could explore new ways of creating content. This realization led me to pursue a master’s degree in video game creation, focusing on art. During this time, I found my passion for modeling, texturing, and the innovative techniques that are shaping this emerging field. My formal studies gave me a solid artistic foundation to approach these developments, but throughout my journey, I also learned that technique and creativity are inseparable.

As a naturally curious and driven person, I have always sought to continue learning on my own. This dedication has allowed me to keep developing my artistic skills while maintaining a strong technical foundation, giving me the flexibility to adapt in a constantly evolving industry.

My first professional milestone occurred in 2021 with the Cuarta Pared VR project. Developed in a home environment with limited resources, this project became a finalist at the Descubre XR event, competing against well-established companies in the industry. Following that, I joined the Virtual Voyagers team, where we developed various virtual reality projects, including the Orange project for the 2023 Mobile World Congress. Currently, I work at eXRciser, developing an innovative extended reality application aimed at revolutionizing the fitness sector.

All of these experiences have provided me with over four years of active development in the extended reality sector. During this time, I have continued to refine the skills that I present in the following summary:
